Explain the role of the Shahadah in Islam.

  1. The Shahadah is the first and most important of the five pillars of Islam. It is a statement highlighting Muslims concept of god.It states that Allah is their only god, and Muhammad is his prophet.Muslims should only worship Allah as their is no other likeness of him. Muslims express their loyalty to Allah by repeating the statement throughout the day and on their dying beds.

  2. The Shahadah is one of the fundamental beliefs of muslims. It acknowledges Allah as their only God and that there is none like him. It also confirms mohammad as the holy prophet of Allah.
    The english translations of the shahadah is "I bear witness that there is none worthy of worrship except Allah the one, without any partner. And I bear witness that muhammad is his servant and his messenger.

    The Shahadah is the first pillar in Islam and it is the most important pillar.It signifies declaration of truth.One must accept that there is no other God but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's prophet. Muslims should worship Allah as their is none like him.

  7. shahadah means to know and to believe without suspision, it is the first five pillars of Islam.IT declare the belief or faith as a muslim in Allah and His proohet Muhammad. the shahadah which is known as an oath/testimony.Persons wishing to become a muslim must recite publicly the creed.

    the Shahadah also known as the declaration of truth is one the five pillars of Islam. It state that the only true deity is Allah and that Muhammad is one of Allah prophet.

  9. The Shahadah, otherwise known as The Creed of Islam, is the first pillar in muslim faith. It is one sentence which translate to say, " There is no god, but God, and Muhammad is His Prophet." This belief in one god in the foundation of Islam because it signifies declaration and faith and their acceptance of god

    The Shahadah is the first of the five pillars and is the the Muslims profession of faith.The shahada is also recited in the muzzein's call to prayer, included in the salat (daily ritual prayer) and incorporated in Sufi contemplative prayer. It is also recited in the moments before death.
